What is Vibe Marketing?
Vibe Marketing is the category that describes operating the brand as a system —not as a series of campaigns. The term took public shape between 2024 and 2025. Believe Global installs the systemic version under the MAAS™ methodology.
An operational definition, not philosophical.
Vibe Marketing is the approach that organizes marketing as operable infrastructure: an architecture of perception, narrative, conversion, automation, and network — all installable, all measurable, all transferable to the brand.
Where traditional marketing operates by campaign (projects with start and end), Vibe Marketing operates by system (layers that produce continuous output for years). The difference isn't aesthetic. It's structural.
Under Believe Global, Vibe Marketing is installed via MAAS™: 10 frameworks distributed across 3 phases that take 90 days with auditable ROI. The brand operates the system at close — not Believe, not the agency.
How the term took shape.
The term 'Vibe Marketing' emerged publicly between 2024 and 2025 through multiple voices:
Andrej Karpathy (OpenAI co-founder) introduced 'vibe coding' in February 2025 — a mental model where the human gives creative direction and AI executes the details. That matrix was the cultural anchor from which 'vibe marketing' was derived.
Greg Isenberg, James Dickerson and Jordan Mix formalized the term as a movement from a Slack conversation in February 2025. They articulated it on thevibemarketer.com with a guide and an active community of practitioners.
Rob Cressy introduced the VIBE Framework (Velocity, Identity, Boundaryless, Experimentation) as a corporate reading.
Believe Global doesn't claim authorship of the term. It has been operating what's now called Vibe Marketing for 27 years across LATAM enterprise brands — before it had other names, now it has this one. The operation is the same. The methodology that makes it operable is MAAS™.
Five operable layers.
Vibe Marketing organizes into five layers. None is skipped. Skipping one is why marketing doesn't scale.
- 01PerceptionHow you're seen before you say anything.
- 02NarrativeWhat you say and why it matters.
- 03ConversionHow you close.
- 04AutomationHow you scale without losing voice.
- 05NetworkHow it sustains itself.
Direct questions.
Is Vibe Marketing the same as AI marketing?
Not exactly. Some readings (Isenberg, Karpathy) emphasize AI + speed. Others (Believe) emphasize system + auditable ROI. AI is a tool within the approach; it doesn't define it. What defines Vibe Marketing is operating the brand as a system rather than as a series of campaigns — regardless of whether the execution uses AI or not.
How recent is the category?
The term itself took public shape between February 2024 and mid-2025. But the operation it describes —brand as system— has been running for decades in serious consultancies. Believe Global has been operating it under the name MAAS since 1998.
How is it different from Growth Marketing?
Growth Marketing optimizes tactics within the funnel. Vibe Marketing installs the full architecture under which those tactics operate. Growth is a layer; Vibe Marketing is the system. They can coexist — and should.
What kind of brand does it apply to?
Brands that already sell and suspect their ceiling isn't budget — it's system. It's not for brands that need urgent tactics or those looking for creative campaigns.
How does a brand get started?
With a 30-45 minute diagnostic. If the brand qualifies, MAAS gets installed in 90 days. If it doesn't qualify, Believe says so and suggests who to turn to.
Vibe Marketing is the category. MAAS is the system.
Believe is where it gets installed.
